Bhoi: A Font for Creative Projects

It started with a blank brand board and a client who wanted something that felt both playful and professional. I opened up my font library, scrolled through the usual suspects, and then I found Bhoi. A rounded sans-serif with 9 weights from Thin to Black, it immediately caught my eye. It wasn’t just another display font—it had personality.

Bhoi for Logo Design and Brand Identity

When working on a logo, I always look for a font that can carry the weight of the brand while still feeling approachable. Bhoi’s rounded edges gave the project a friendly tone, which was perfect for a small café looking to stand out in a competitive market. The Thin weight worked well for a minimalist tagline, while the Bold weight added punch to the main logo. It felt like the font was speaking the same language as the client’s vision.

One of the first things I noticed was how Bhoi handled different sizes. On a business card, it remained legible without losing its charm. On a shop sign, it had enough presence to grab attention but never felt overwhelming. The balance between fun and professionalism made it ideal for a brand that wanted to feel warm and welcoming.

Testing Bhoi on Packaging Mockups

Next, I moved to packaging design. The client was planning to launch a line of handmade soaps, and the packaging needed to reflect the natural, artisanal feel of the product. I experimented with Bhoi on label stickers and box designs. The Medium weight looked clean and modern, while the Black weight added a sense of authority to the product name. It paired well with soft pastel colors and organic textures, making the whole package feel cohesive and intentional.

I also tested Bhoi on product labels. Its rounded shapes gave a gentle, approachable look that contrasted nicely with the more rigid lines of other design elements. It didn’t overpower the imagery or the product name—it complemented it. That’s what I love about Bhoi: it doesn’t shout, but it makes itself known.

Bhoi for Web Design and Social Media Graphics

Once the brand identity was set, I turned to the digital side. For the website header, I used the Bold weight to create a strong visual hierarchy. It stood out against the background without being too aggressive. On social media graphics, Bhoi added a consistent visual thread across all platforms. Whether it was an Instagram post or a Facebook ad, the font maintained a unified look that reinforced the brand’s personality.

On a homepage hero section, Bhoi’s Black weight commanded attention, while the Regular weight provided a smooth reading experience for longer text. It was clear that this font wasn’t just for headlines—it could handle body copy with ease. The subtle curves of the letters made the text feel inviting, even in a digital format.

Using Bhoi for Editorial Design and Print Materials

For editorial design, such as a brochure or a newsletter, Bhoi proved to be a versatile companion. The Medium weight worked well for body text, offering clarity without sacrificing style. The Light weight was great for subheadings, adding a touch of elegance without distracting from the main content.

When designing printed marketing materials, I found that Bhoi retained its sharpness and readability at various sizes. On a flyer, it was easy to read from a distance, and on a poster, it held up well against other design elements. It was one of those fonts that felt right in almost any context.

Bhoi for Display and Accent Typography

As a display font, Bhoi shines. It’s not just for logos or headers—it works as an accent typeface that adds character to any design. I used it on a series of promotional posters for the café, where it served as a secondary headline. The contrast between Bhoi and a more traditional serif font created a dynamic visual balance that felt fresh and modern.

Pairing Bhoi with a serif font like Playfair Display or Merriweather brought out its best qualities. The contrast between the rounded sans-serif and the structured serif created a visual rhythm that was both pleasing and effective. It also worked well with a handwritten font for a more casual, personal touch.

One thing I always check when using a new font is its multilingual support. Bhoi includes a range of characters, making it suitable for international clients or projects that require multiple languages. It also comes in standard file formats, which is a big plus for designers who need to work across different platforms.

Practical Tips for Using Bhoi in Client Work

If you're considering Bhoi for a client project, start by testing it in different contexts. Create a few mockups—logo, packaging, website header, social media graphic—and see how it performs. Pay attention to how it looks at different sizes and on different backgrounds. Bhoi is forgiving, but it still needs thoughtful placement to shine.

Also, consider the audience. If the brand is targeting a younger, more casual demographic, Bhoi’s friendly curves will resonate. If the brand is more established, the font’s professionalism will help maintain a sense of credibility. Either way, it’s a font that adapts without losing its identity.
